Dolores "Dolly" Winston is an author, speaker, entrepreneur, and founder of the nonprofit organization Here to Connect. For decades, she has dedicated her life to bringing people together, encouraging kindness, and helping others feel seen, valued, and connected.

Inspired by her passion for children and her belief that words matter, Dolly created Luke & Lucie to help children build confidence, celebrate their differences, and treat others with kindness.

Through books, storytelling, music, school visits, library programs, and community events, Dolly shares a simple but powerful message:

Her goal is to help every child understand that what makes them unique is something to be celebrated, not hidden.

When she isn't writing, speaking, or reading to children, Dolly enjoys creating programs that strengthen communities, empower women and girls, and inspire meaningful connections.
